She said it’s hard because after she eats a meal, she just wants something sweet – not a cupcake or anything – just something to nibble on. I hear this ALL the time from my clients. Sugar is in everything we eat these days, which has, in turn, trained our hunger cues to not feel satisfied until we get a sweet hit.

There are a lot of ways to fix this issue like going on a sugar detox to reset your taste buds, cutting out refined sugar and or drinking a cup of tea after a meal. BUT when there are times when you’re craving a treat, then I have just the thing for you – Flourless Sweet Potato Brownies. They are fudgy, chocolaty and are infused with CBD.

Other than that, these brownies come together in a flash. All you have to do is throw all the ingredients into a food processor and blend away until a thick batter forms. With 1 full cup of raw cocoa powder, these Flourless Sweet Potato Brownies have almost double the amount of recommended iron, manganese, magnesium, and zinc. They also have no refined sugar and are gluten-free but taste like little bites of heaven.

Flourless Sweet Potato Brownies



Yield 6 servings


For the brownie: 

1 cup raw cocoa powder

1 large sweet potato, roasted and puréed

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 egg

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 tablespoons coconut oil

For the chocolate glaze: 

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 dropper CBD oil 


Pre-heat oven to 350-degrees F. Line an 8 by 8 square baking pan with tin foil. Set aside.

In a food processor,  add raw cocoa powder, sweet potato puree, maple syrup, 1 egg and salt. Melt the coconut oil over low heat and add to the rest of the ingredients. Pulse together until a thick batter forms. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.

Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil over low heat. Add CBD oil and pour over cooled brownies.

Store the brownies in the fridge or freezer until ready to serve.
